This web site has been created in order to present some short papers that pertain to God's covenant with Abraham and to show how that covenant applies to us.  If you have been referred to this web site from my other web site, "themysteryrevealed.net", you may have read several of my book introductions that are presented on that site.  Those introductions speak of the mystery of the kingdom of heaven and how that mystery has been revealed to us in the New Testament scriptures but they also tell of God's covenant with Abraham.  One of the introductions presented on that site has to do directly with God's covenant with Abraham.  

This site has been created to present the same basic information, but with some additions.  This site, "godscovenantwithabraham.com", presents many of those same details about the covenant that God made with Abraham and his descendants in a little different way and hopefully in a more understandable way.   

The papers included here are listed to the upper left on this page.  Just click on the one you want to bring up and use it as you like.  The first four papers explain the covenant and how the covenant applies to us and the next four papers show how the good news of the gospel is really the good news of the covenant and what our covenant requirements are to receive its promises.  

The paper listed under "HE IS COMING" has been changed to become a site of several papers.  The previous paper at that location titled, "HE MAY BE RETURNING VERY SOON" has been retained and is one of several papers listed there.  Following is a listing of the papers in the order that they are presented at that location.

A LITTLE INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR HOST

The following is information is being given to tell you who I am.  It is the same information that has been presented on my other web site but if you have not been there, I am repeating it here, also.  

My name is Johnny Rogers. I am past the age of seventy and am a retired Mechanical Engineer.  I have been a Christian for more than sixty years but before that, my mother made sure that I was in church every Sunday from the time I could walk.  For the first forty years (or so) of my life I became versed in the scriptures through weekly church bible study and from hearing thousands of sermons preached.  I relied heavily on what others had found in scripture but I did enough of my own Bible study to know that some of what I heard was off target.  

Somewhere in my forties I began to realize that my dedication to God was not what it should have been and so I started to immerse myself in the scriptures.  Over the last ten years, my study time has increased because of my retirement from active work and with the internet Bible search engines available to me my study time has been more effective.  I am presenting some of what I have found in these papers.  

As you read the papers presented, you will notice that I have shown quoted scripture in red letters.  Unlike "red letter" Bibles that only show the gospel words of Jesus in red I have shown all scripture in red because all scripture is Jesus speaking.  Remember, John 1:1-2 tells us that He is the Word and then we read where the Word became flesh and dwelt among us.  

I have attempted to be as correct as possible in the papers presented here but I am certain that there are changes and corrections that would make these papers better.  If you see something that could be better written or that needs correction, please email your comments to me.
